The man hours it will take to create this bed are equivalent to the amount of man hours it takes to build a nice home. \u201cSwan bed # 4\u201d could be used as a prototype for future beds. Before this bed is assembled for the final time molds and patterns will be taken so it can be duplicated. Because this bed is possibly one of the most elaborate beds ever contrived in the history of art furniture, a section of this site will be updated as this bed nears completion. In the style of Art Nouveau and reminiscent of the romance in Pre-Raphaelite art, this magical bed has been a dream from Brundege\u2019s childhood. As a child, he constructed magic boats with card board, each one became more intricate then the last. Brundege says, \u201cWith over 40 years of wood working experience, I\u2019m putting all the techniques I know into the design and construction of this bed. This piece represents a great challenge for me. It is to be my masterpiece.
